What these PDFs cannot do
A PDF is a good way to study and a poor way to rehearse. It is worth being clear about the gap, because the difference shows up on test day rather than while you are preparing.
- •They cannot keep time for you. CELPIP Reading and Listening run a separate clock for each part, and it does not carry over. On paper you have to enforce that yourself, and almost nobody does it honestly.
- •They cannot mark Writing or Speaking. Those two are rated by people against four published criteria, so there is no answer key that could exist. A model answer shows you the target; it cannot tell you what your own response is doing wrong.
- •They cannot show you your weak question type. A total out of 38 tells you where you stand. It does not tell you that six of your eight lost marks came from Reading for Viewpoints, which is the thing that would change how you study next week.
- •They are not the real interface. CELPIP is computer delivered. Scrolling a long passage, losing your place, and working with a clock you cannot pause are all part of what the test measures, and paper removes every one of them.
- •There is no audio in a PDF. Listening cannot be practised on paper at all, which is why there is no listening PDF here. The six listening tests are online with real recorded audio.

A four-week CELPIP study plan built around these files
One realistic way to use all six without collecting them and never opening them.
Week 1: find out where you actually are
Sit Reading Practice Test 1 on paper with four separate timers, mark it against the key, and convert the raw score using the Score Chart PDF. Then take one listening test online, because listening cannot be practised on paper and you need a baseline for it too. You now have two real numbers instead of an impression.
Week 2: attack the weakest question type
Work out your percentage per part rather than looking at the total. Whichever part came out lowest, spend the week on the matching learning module, which walks through the pattern with worked examples and no clock. Start the Vocabulary List at one theme per day alongside it.
Week 3: Writing and Speaking, which no key can mark
Read the four model answers in the Writing Samples PDF and the breakdown of why each scores, then write two of the twelve unseen prompts and submit them for expert feedback. Record five topics from the Speaking Topics PDF under the real prep and record times. Reading a model silently takes about half as long as saying it aloud, which is why so many candidates run out of time on the day.
Week 4: rehearse the real thing
Sit Reading Practice Test 2 to confirm the first number was not a fluke, then take a full mock test online, all four sections back to back. That last one matters more than anything else in the plan: stamina across a full sitting is a separate skill from accuracy on a single part, and it is the one a printed test cannot rehearse.

Is there a free CELPIP practice test with answers in PDF?
Yes. Two complete CELPIP-General Reading practice tests are available as PDFs, each with 38 questions across the four real parts and a full answer key at the back. Writing and Speaking cannot have answer keys because they are rated by people, so those files carry model answers with a breakdown of why each one scores instead.
Why is there no CELPIP listening PDF?
Because a PDF cannot play audio, and the CELPIP Listening Test is entirely audio based. Publishing listening transcripts as a PDF would let you read at your own pace, which is the opposite of what the section tests. The six listening tests on this site are online with real recorded audio instead.
Can I print these CELPIP PDFs?
Yes. Every file is laid out for US Letter paper with no cropped content and prints cleanly double-sided. For the reading tests, the answer key is on the final pages so you can set those aside while you work.

How much CELPIP practice is on the site itself?
Considerably more than is in the PDFs. There are six reading tests, six listening tests with recorded audio, six writing tests, six speaking tests and six full mock tests that run all four sections back to back, plus learning modules for each individual question type. All of it is free and the marked sections are scored automatically.
Do the PDFs include the CELPIP score conversion?
Yes. The Score Chart PDF has the raw score to CELPIP level table for both Reading and Listening, the CELPIP to CLB mapping for all four skills, and the levels commonly required for permanent residence and citizenship. The two reading test PDFs also repeat the reading conversion table after their answer key.
How often are these files updated?
They are rebuilt from the site's own test data whenever that content changes, so a downloaded file matches the online tests rather than drifting from them. All files currently reflect the 2026 CELPIP-General format.
