Full Mock 2 runs online, in the browser, in the same sequence as the computer-delivered exam. It draws Listening 2, Reading 3, Writing 4 and Speaking 5, and the difficulty alternates the whole way through: an easy listening section, a medium reading section, an easy informal email, then a medium speaking test. Nothing in it is rated Hard, which makes it a comfortable mock to sit on a laptop for the first time.
What is inside Full Mock 2
Listening 2 is set in Winnipeg: a back door that sticks, taken to a hardware store; two members of a curling club that is moving its league night; a print shop order for concert programs; a news item on the transit service and its customer service counter; three food bank volunteers deciding what to do as more families come through the door; and Marcus Chorney, a road safety researcher, on how Manitoba should spend its winter road budget.
Reading 3 is a letter from a colleague who has handed in her notice to start nursing school, four rental apartments compared in a diagram, a passage on Canadian peat bogs and the carbon they hold, and an article on Rowan Street Kitchen in Victoria, which printed one line on every menu saying there is no tipping here and then raised its prices.
Writing 4 is an informal email to your cousin Dana in Winnipeg: flight details for a late-night arrival, a request to spend less of the week at the family cottage and more of it seeing the city, and an offer of what you will bring. Task 2 is the School Trip Survey, one overnight science camp at 180 dollars a student against four single-day trips at 45.
Speaking 5 is eight tasks: advice to a friend offered a two-year training place overseas while her mother is ill, a time someone trusted you with something important, a busy airport check-in hall to describe and predict, a wheelchair ramp argued against the volunteer project you chose, two hundred invitations printed with the wrong date, an opinion on employers reading what staff post online, and a broken hand-cranked machine at a flea market.

Choose your format before the first timer starts. CELPIP-General runs all four sections online in one sitting. CELPIP-General LS runs Listening 2 and Speaking 5 only, takes about seventy minutes, and is the shorter format used for Canadian citizenship.
How each section is scored
The two auto-scored sections come back instantly in the browser with a CLB band and the correct answer shown on every question. Which parts of the online mock need a microphone?
