CELPIP Full Mock 16
The last of the sixteen. It opens with the hardest listening section on the site and puts a hard formal email in the writing slot, with a gentler reading and speaking either side of them.
Full Mock 16 opens on the hardest thing in the whole set. Listening is the first section of the real exam, which means it is the one you meet cold, and this mock tests exactly that: whether you can hold a difficult listening section before anything has warmed you up.
What is inside Full Mock 16
Listening 16 is Whitehorse at minus forty: block heater outlets and a truck that will not turn over, a flight south priced like a holiday, panels angled at the winter sun, the river breaking up on a bet, a festival choosing its month, and the ground itself giving way.
Reading 8 is a letter written at the front desk of a lodge outside Banff, four Pinewater Provincial Park camping options, the tides of the Bay of Fundy, and a school district that put phones into canvas pouches.
Writing 9 is a hard formal email appealing an insurance assessment of $2,400 against $6,150 of written quotes after a burst pipe in Regina, then a survey on whether a hospital foundation should buy a second MRI or reopen sixteen beds.
Speaking 10 is eight tasks including a friend offered her manager job, a veterinary waiting room, twelve hundred dollars of neighbourhood money argued against doorbell cameras, and a promise you cannot keep to two people at once.

Why does the hardest listening section come first?
Because listening is the first section of the real exam, so it is always the one you meet cold with nothing to warm you up. This mock makes that the test rather than an accident.
Is this the last mock I should take?
It is a reasonable one to finish on, but Full Mock 13 and Full Mock 15 are harder overall. Use this one to check that a difficult listening section at the very start does not cost you the rest of the paper.
How long does the whole thing take?
About two and a half hours of section time, plus the instruction screens: roughly 41 minutes of listening, 39 of reading, 53 of writing and about 15 of speaking.
