CELPIP Full Mock 9
All four skills in exam order, with the difficulty concentrated in the writing section. If writing is the band you are trying to move, this is the mock to sit.
Full Mock 9 is the writing mock. Three of its sections sit in the middle of the range and the fourth is a hard formal email that has to be firm, factual and conciliatory at once, which is where most writing bands actually stall.
What is inside Full Mock 9
Listening 9 is set around Lethbridge: a prescription the plan stopped covering, a concert band with a trailer problem, a lawn about to become gravel, an irrigation canal project ending, an agricultural society deciding what to do about its livestock show, and a talk on wind turbines that are sometimes paid to stop generating.
Reading 10 is a letter from eleven months into a move to Nanaimo, four Nanaimo car-sharing plans, jack pine and the fire cycle of the boreal forest, and a hockey association that dissolved its travel teams.
Writing 11 is a formal email to human resources about a reclassification in April that never changed the pay, with a supervisor who agrees in writing and a department that has not replied, then the Library Renovation Survey: a quiet study floor against a children and family wing.
Speaking 12 is the easy set: a first part-time job, a food or custom that was new to you, a rainy laundromat, a bag for a two-week trip, a bus that left two hours early, an opinion on pocket money, and a bright yellow gadget at a church fundraiser.

How each section is scored
Listening and Reading are marked instantly against CLB-aligned answer keys. Writing is evaluated on Content and Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability and Task Fulfilment, and Speaking on Content and Coherence, Vocabulary, Listenability and Task Fulfillment, both against the official 2026 descriptors, with a band per skill and an overall band on the 1 to 12 scale.

What is in CELPIP Full Mock 9?

Why is the writing section rated hard here?
Because its Task 1 asks you to press a claim about unpaid higher-grade work, concede that the department has been short-staffed, and make clear you are not dropping the matter, all in a formal register inside 200 words. Holding those three at once is where most writing bands stall.
How long is the writing section?
Fifty-three minutes: twenty-seven for Task 1 and twenty-six for Task 2, with an automatic advance when the first timer ends.
When do I get my results?
Listening and reading are scored the moment you finish each section. Writing and speaking are evaluated against the official descriptors and returned with a band per criterion and detailed feedback.
